Garden Club holds annual Holiday Workshop
Susie Middleton, a DGC member, taught the wreath workshop held at Zion UM Church in Cambridge.

CAMBRIDGE — The Dorchester Garden Club offered its annual Holiday Workshop and Design Demonstration at Zion United Methodist Church in Garrettson Hall on Nov. 27.

Members of the club gather greens, glue guns, ribbons and decorative items to affix to their live spruce wreaths.

Following a short lunch, DGC member Susie Middleton conducted a workshop using magnolia leaves, styrofoam, ribbon and decorative items to demonstrate how to make Williamsburg Plaques.

One of the continuing projects of the Dorchester Garden Club is to annually create and hang Christmas Wreaths on the doors of the Dorchester County Courthouse. The club underwrites the full cost of this project and committee members design the wreaths. Mary Jo Papin is chairman of this Beautification and Civic Improvement Project.

Chairman for the overall Christmas Workshop was Mary Jo Papin and coordinators for lunch were Jackie Wolfle and Alison Buczek.
